As the Kingdom of Bahrain is gearing up for the 3rd edition of Shop Bahrain, citizens, residents and visitors will now be able to enjoy an entire month of endless shopping, entertainment, fun activities and interactive workshops.  Dragon City, the Kingdom’s largest Chinese wholesale and retail hub, for the very first time, will be amongst the participating malls at the 3rd edition of Shop Bahrain.

As every year, Shop Bahrain is an initiative, set to mirror the Kingdom’s position as a welcoming, accessible, family destination with an incredibly diverse range of retail experiences from luxury malls to traditional souks to luxury boutiques coupled with unbeatable bargains and promotions. The 30-day festival will be held from the 19th of January 2017 to the 18th of February 2017.

This year, Dragon City as part of hosting a shopping bonanza within its premises, the Chinese retail hub will be introducing a unique event, called the ‘Wishing Tree’. During the month of Shop Bahrain, shoppers will be able to wish for their favorite items from within the mall by writing their wishes down in small wish cards and hang it on the Wishing Tree. Weekly wishes will enter a raffle, which is set to make wishes come true.

In addition to the Wishing Tree, Dragon City is set to host five Origami workshops for those who wish to learn the elegant art of Origami for the duration Shop Bahrain. Interested visitors can now learn how to make the most riveting paper crane. Once completed, participants can take their creations home with them or have them displayed along with the other cranes in the mall. One Origami workshop will see a well-known Kuwaiti social media influencer participating in one of the workshops.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Patrick Zheng Shuo, General Manager of Chinamex Bahrain Management Company, the City’s operating company said: “Dragon City is honoured to be a part of the 3rd edition of Shop Bahrain, an event that boosts the retail and tourism sector, with fantastic events, raffle draws and promotions. We take this opportunity to showcase our Chinese art, traditions and creations to all shoppers and visitors during this 30-day event.”

He further added, “Dragon City takes a keen interest in reflecting the essence of this festival and hence will launch two events during this month, the Wishing Tree campaign and the Origami workshops. Through this, we hope to provide shoppers with a distinctive shopping experience.”
